The government of Venezuela has
introduced limits to the activities of Latin American e-commerce site
Mercadolivre, reports Reuters. The country's government, which maintains a
tough system of exchange and price controls, has decided to extend its
regulation to Mercadolivre, so that the site does not market scarce goods among
people at higher prices. The Venezuelan authorities ordered the portal to limit
the sales of certain products in the country, Vice President Jorge Arreaza said
