MUD: "We will not win to replace a sectarianism with another"

The Executive Secretary of the Venezuelan opposition coalition Unified Democratic Panel (MUD), Jesús Torrealba, affirmed they would win the upcoming congress vote in the country on December 6. He stressed they will not win to replace a "sectarianism with another", but to "reconcile and unite" Venezuelans with one another. In an interview with Efe, Torrealba said that "all (local) polling firms, including the official ones," give the opposition a lead of more than 30 points over the government.

Further, Torrealba stressed MUD would not sign a document proposed by the electoral mission of the Union of South American Nations (Unasur) to accept the results of the election, for their task is to determine "if there are conditions" for such results to be accepted. More…
