Maduro must find a way to fund Venezuela. The failed socialist experiment has left the people lacking industry and food . The obvious solution is to sell leases or concessions on Venezuela’s vast oil resources to powerful and wealthy foreign producers. However, foreign producers and investors are wary of working with Maduro and his government, because they have built a reputation as capricious and corrupt, not to mention that their control of the government may be tenuous.
