Venezuela-CNN media war escalates

After CNN en Español was banned from all Venezuelan pay-TV platforms, the media company has used its networks abroad as well as its YouTube channel inside the country to defend its position. At the same time, pro-Government Venezuelan media have been increasing their attacks on CNN en Español, defending the official argument that caused the ban by Conatel: that CNN is putting national stability at risk. In fact, the director of Conatel, Andrés Eloy Méndez, has just launched a YouTube channel through which he directly accuses Turner, Timer Warner and AT&T of being behind what he calls CNN’s manipulated information.
