Venezuela's Mining Co. Says It Hasn't Been Properly Served


Venezuela's state-owned mining company told a Florida court on Monday that a British Virgin Islands-based raw materials company has "completely disregarded" a New York court order by failing to properly serve its petition to enforce an arbitral award in a dispute over iron ore contracts. CVG Ferrominera Orinoco CA, or FMO, said that the New York court in a related proceeding last year found that FMO is an agency or instrumentality of Venezuela, and that it therefore must be served legal documents under the process outlined…More…
