US Department of Agriculture forecasts scarcity in Venezuela

In a report of January 8, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) stated that Venezuela is to face increasing food shortage. As quoted from the USDA, "Venezuela is experiencing declining export revenues, accelerating inflation and widespread shortages of basic consumer goods, all problems confronting Venezuela for the past few years. Further, the USDA affirmed, "in certain agricultural sectors, the situation is reaching critical levels."
