Venezuelan crude exports to its major import customer, the
U.S., have dropped roughly 19% month-on-month in October, data from Refinitiv
Eikon showed Tuesday. Shipments to the U.S. totaled 489,282 barrels per day
(Bpd) last month, compared to just over 600,000 Bpd in September. There were 30
cargoes delivered – eight less than in September – to clients including Citgo
Petroleum, Valero Energy and Chevron. Reuters reported the decline was a result
of maintenance work on Venezuela’s upgraders, limiting the country’s ability to
