Venezuelans Are the Ones Feeling Offended, Not Maduro

The Colombian head of state came up with the idea of making a comparison of the economies of both countries. The government of Maduro flunked that subject long ago, because it doesn’t even dare to release the official figures. He said inflation there was single digit, while that in Venezuela hovered near 200%. We believe he fell short in accuracy, and we say this because we have to go out there to buy groceries and other essential stuff for our survival. To say that is not an offense, but certainly is to allow consumer prices to skyrocket in such an alarming way. That is an affront to the pockets of Venezuelans, and the one offending here is the man ruling from the Miraflores presidential palace. Santos recalled the expectations for economic growth, and while growth is not often shared the way it should, it becomes impossible to share anything with no economic growth.
