Opposition Wants OAS To Monitor Elections, Maduro Wants UNASUR


Parliamentary elections which could drastically alter Venezuela’s leadership, scheduled to be held on December 6 this year, are going to be monitored by an organization but the ruling party and the opposition have different opinions as to which organization is right for the job. Parliamentary elections have been scheduled every five years since 2000 and are usually tentatively set at some point during the second half of the scheduled year. This year’s election will take place on December 6 when voters will determine the makeup of the next session of the unicameral National Assembly and its 165 seats. More…
