U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said his government is
aiming to improve relations with the government of Venezuelan President Nicolas
Maduro. In a joint conference with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodrigues on
Monday, after both countries marked improved diplomatic ties by opening of
respective embassies in Havana and Washington, Kerry said the Obama
administration, is committed with seeking peace, not only in Cuba but in the
entire region. The remarks came in response to a question from teleSUR
