Government of Venezuela is Soft on FARC, Hard on Mayor Barreto


A series of articles published by TalCual in the last two weeks have revealed the grave situation in the city of Guasdualito, Apure state. Through those eye-opening stories, written by Yosselyn Torres, it should be noted that the State is absent in that border region between Venezuela and the city of Arauca in Colombia, although a similar situation has been reported from other sectors. Guerrillas, paramilitary groups and criminal gangs rule Apure’s second-largest city, not the government of Nicolás Maduro. None of its officials in that secluded region of the country have control over them.
