This is what the government of Nicolás Maduro wants to cause among the people
opposing it.All of these words start with a D, but none has to do with
democracy. We are sure that more repressive actions such as the one that ended
in the arrest of the mayor of metropolitan Caracas, Antonio Ledezma, last week
will be coming from the Miraflores presidential palace soon enough. Venezuela’s
ruling elite knows well that it needs high levels of abstention from those
opposing it so that it remains in power. If everyone opposing Maduro’s regime
go vote this year, the majority of the next Parliament will be made up of
