Venezuela's opposition group, the
Democratic Unity Table, presented an official document to the government
outlining four demands ahead of scheduled negotiations in the Dominican
Republic on Dec. 1-2, Panorama reported Nov. 27. The demands are free and fair
elections, humanitarian assistance for Venezuela, freedom for political
prisoners and restoring authority to the National Assembly. These talks will be
the third time that negotiations have taken place between the two parties. More…
