Airfare Soars in Venezuela, Where One Ticket Can Cost over Eight Years of Work


It’s difficult to get a flight out of Venezuela for under US $1000. Air travel options continue to decrease as United, Lufthansa and Alitalia, among others, pull their business from the country. According to El Nacional, People traveling to Argentina in November have to pay US $1,825. Getting to Lima, Peru exceeds $1,500, similar to Miami and other destinations in Europe.
