Venezuelan envoy to join Labour conference

Venezuela’s ambassador to Britain is to appear with allies of Jeremy Corbyn at a pro-regime event at the Labour Party conference this month. The left-wing MPs Chris Williamson, the shadow fire minister, and Karen Lee, a senior parliamentary aide to John McDonnell, the shadow chancellor, will speak alongside Rocío Del Valle Maneiro González and Cuban diplomats at the meeting, held as part of the party’s conference fringe.
