Venezuela – Another View

In her view, recent reports from National Public Radio of a “grinding political crisis” and for that matter the overwhelming similar reporting from all independent news outlets, are false news or even part of a scheme to get Americans to “fear and loathe the Venezuelan government.” Albrecht believes the “Bolivarian project” is under siege by “mostly wealthy and upper-middle class” and “corporate elites” conspiring to disrupt trade and “purposefully creating shortages of select goods” (like food and medicine). She calls this “militant uprising” the source of Venezuela’s violence and she glorifies the “restraint” of the Venezuelan government. Is that so? More…
