Venezuela’s AG Throws the Government another ‘Curveball’

Venezuela’s Attorney General Luisa Ortega Diaz is on her way to hang up nine zeros on the scoreboard of the government of Nicolás Maduro. The first was a statement late in March claiming that the rulings of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) had broken the constitutional thread. The second was the precision on the causes of the death of 20-year-old Juan Pernalete during a protest on April 26 in eastern Caracas, where she also denounced the flagrant violations of human rights by the National Armed Forces through its National Guard arm.
