Reporters Without Borders (RWB), or
Reporters Sans Frontières (RSF) has called on President Nicolas Maduro’s
government to stop blocking the international media’s reporting in Venezuela.
In recent months, the obstruction has included expulsions, the seizure of
material and equipment, and outright censorship. The latest victims include two
Brazilian journalists – Record TV reporter Leandro Stoliar and cameraman Gilzon
Souza de Oliveira – who were deported last month while investigating an
offshoot of Brazil’s Petrobras scandal – suspected corruption involving the
Brazilian conglomerate Odebrecht and state agencies in Venezuela. More…
