Venezuela is to supply Trinidad and Tobago with natural gas
under an accord signed here Monday by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and
the prime minister of the twin-island nation, Keith Rowley. Gas from the Dragon
field in northwestern Venezuela will be delivered via pipeline to the nearby
Caribbean country, which is itself a significant producer of natural gas. Rowley,
who traveled to Caracas for talks aimed at bolstering bilateral cooperation,
said it was important to grasp "opportunities that are beneficial for the
