President: ‘I share the Pope’s concerns about poverty’


When asked about the situation of the Mercosur trade bloc Macri said there will be “more integration” between the member countries and stressed that there will be “a natural convergence towards the Pacific.” Regarding Venezuela, Macri said that there is “a question mark” hanging on that country’s Mercosur membership. “As it is now, there will not be integration with Venezuela,” he said. During the interview Macri strongly criticized Venezuela’s leftist president Nicolás Maduro. “He does not respect human rights, he does not listen to Venezuelan’s demand for early elections, he can’t keep inflicting damage on the people.
