North Korean ceremonial head of state has left
China to attend a summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Venezuela,
diplomatic sources said Wednesday. Kim, the head of North Korea's rubber-stamp
parliament, made a stopover at Beijing on Tuesday afternoon before heading to
the South American country for the gathering that will run from Tuesday through
Sunday. He stayed at the North Korean Embassy in Beijing after he landed at
Beijing Capital International Airport. "Kim already seems to have left
Beijing and headed to Venezuela," the source said, adding that the 88-year-old
North Korean probably took a flight on Tuesday night or early Wednesday
