
Venezuelan former opposition Deputy María Corina Machado
denounced on Wednesday before the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Brazilian
Senate what she called the "brutal repression" by a "rogue
regime," in reference to the government of Nicolás Maduro. She was invited
by the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Brazilian Senate, chaired by Ricardo
Ferraço, to discuss the crisis in Venezuela. In the meeting, Machado asked
Brazil to "not close the eyes" to the repression "the Venezuelan
people" are suffering in "the streets," Efe quoted.
