New Challenges for the MUD in Venezuela
The survival of democracy in this country owes a lot precisely to the existence of an opposition that has managed to avoid confrontation and differences of opinion with the Government, always remaining on the democratic path as it should be. The MUD has fought on that ground and has done well. But now, at least for this year, the MUD has laid down a challenge that is a bit different. Until now, and due to several electoral processes in a row, the MUD has basically moved onto an incessant advance and expansion process, as we previously pointed out. And now it must take advantage of this election-free 2014 to enter the social arena in order to consolidate itself and lay an irreversible foundation for more advance and progress in the future (as well as to make it to 2015, an electoral year again, with renewed strength.
